## Active Oregon businesses — and which ones employ people

### What this is

The Oregon Secretary of State publishes every active business registration. Another state file lists the employers that carry workers' compensation insurance, with a range of employees. This site joins the two: for each registered business, the record says whether it appears as an insured employer, with how many employees, in which activity, and with which insurer.

### Who uses it

- **Suppliers and lenders** — is this company registered, since when, and does it have employees?
- **Customers** — does the contractor at your door carry workers' compensation?
- **Owners** — your own record as the state publishes it.

### What it is not

Not the Secretary of State, and not a certificate of existence. The employer match is made on the name and ZIP code: a business with no match may still be an employer under another name or address. Registered agents and representatives are not on this site.
